Los gallegos radicados en el área trajeron consigo la imagen de Santa Librada, Patrona de la Catedral de Siguenza en España. La iglesia de Santa Librada es una obra del siglo XVIII concluida el 9 de marzo de 1789. Un temblor de tierra en 1802 afecto notablemente su estructura, la reconstrucción del templo duro tres cuartos de siglo. Fue declarada Monumento Histórico Nacional en 1954.
